Vishwa Bharti Public School, Noida hosted the Annual Shri S.N.Ganju Memorial Inter School English Debate Competition in memory of our erstwhile General Secretary, Shri S.N. Ganju on 29th October 2024 in the School Auditorium. This event is a tribute to Shri S.N Ganju’s legacy of fostering intellectual growth and encouraging meaningful discourse among students.

The young minds from prestigious schools of NCR debated on the topic.

"Technology is advancing faster than society can ethically manage."

The session was the kaleidoscope of opinions, thoughts and perspective on the rapid advancement of technology as a double-edged sword. Points presented were accepted by the spectators with cheers and claps.

The programme commenced with the formal welcome accorded by the school choir followed by the auspicious lighting of the lamp. The Guests of Honour were Dr. V.K. Ganju, General Secretary Vishwa Bharti Women’s Welfare Institution and Mr. Virendra Sehgal (Management Member).

The judges for the event were Dr. Brijesh Pandey, Executive Director, Indian National Science Academy, Ms. Rupika Gupta, Centre Head, CLA Academy and Ms. Riya Jain (Alumni, IIM Ahmedabad).

Saanvi Shalini Singh and Manya Dwivedi (Somerville School, Noida) emerged as Best-Speakers (for & against). The overall trophy and Best- team was bagged by the Somerville School Noida while Pragyan School, Greater Noida won the runner’s up trophy. Jiya Upadhyay (DPS, Greater Noida) was awarded the special appreciation award.

The esteemed judges, in their speeches, commended the extraordinary efforts of the students for their well-constructed debates.
